When you register on KaushGar Setu, we collect: full name, mobile number, email address, Aadhaar number (for KYC verification), gender, date of birth, qualification, village/city/district, father's/guardian's name, and profile photograph (selfie). For KaushGar Mitras, we additionally collect bank account details for incentive disbursement. For Business Owners, we collect company name, GST number, company address, and industry details.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
We automatically collect device information (device type, operating system, browser type), IP address, access timestamps, pages visited, referral URLs, UTM campaign parameters, and geolocation data (with your consent) to connect you with nearby Skill Centres.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from government skilling bodies (BSDM, BCCM, NSDC) regarding your training certifications, and from employers regarding your placement status and employment verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
• Training Enrollment: Facilitating registration and enrollment in government-recognized skill training programs at authorized Skill Centres. • Job Matching & Placement: Connecting you with suitable employment opportunities based on your skills, qualifications, and location preferences. • KaushGar Mitra Operations: Enabling Mitras to refer candidates, track referral progress, and receive incentive payments. • Identity Verification: Processing KYC documents (Aadhaar, PAN) to verify candidate identity as required by government skilling programs. • Communication: Sending training updates, interview schedules, placement notifications, and platform announcements via SMS, WhatsApp, email, and in-app notifications. • Analytics & Improvement: Analyzing aggregate data to improve training outcomes, placement rates, and platform functionality. • Compliance: Meeting reporting requirements of government bodies overseeing skilling programs.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
3.1 Service Partners
We share relevant information with: Skill Centres (for training enrollment and attendance tracking), Employers (candidate profiles for job placement - Aadhaar numbers are never shared), KaushGar Mitras (limited referral tracking data for candidates they referred), and Trainers (student enrollment details for batch management).
3.2 Government Bodies
As mandated by government skilling programs, we share training and placement data with BSDM (Bihar Skill Development Mission), BCCM, NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), and other relevant state/central government bodies.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of KaushGar Setu, our users, or the public.
3.4 No Sale of Data
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your personal information:
• Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2+ (SSL). Sensitive data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. • Access Control: Role-based access controls (RBAC) ensure that staff can only access data relevant to their responsibilities. Row-Level Security (RLS) policies enforce data isolation at the database level. • Authentication: Secure password hashing (bcrypt), session management, and optional two-factor authentication. • Monitoring: Regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and real-time monitoring for unauthorized access attempts. • Infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with SOC 2 compliance.
Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your login credentials confidential.
5. Data Retention
• Active Accounts: Your personal data is retained for as long as your account remains active. • Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be flagged for review and potential deactivation. • Training Records: As required by government skilling program compliance, anonymized training and certification records may be retained for up to 7 years. • Placement Records: Employment and placement data may be retained for up to 5 years for compliance and outcome tracking. • Deletion Requests: Upon receiving a valid account deletion request, we will process it within 30 business days, subject to legal retention obligations. • Backup Data: Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.

8. Children's Privacy
KaushGar Setu is open to users aged 14 and above, in accordance with government skilling program guidelines (e.g., PMKVY, DDU-GKY).
• Users aged 14–18 must have parental or guardian consent before registering. • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14 years of age. • If we discover that data has been collected from a child under 14, we will promptly delete it. • Parents or guardians may contact us at info@kaushgar.com to request review or deletion of a minor's data.
9. Third-Party Services
Our platform may integrate with the following third-party services:
• WhatsApp Business API: For sending training notifications, interview updates, and candidate communication. • Google Maps: For locating nearby Skill Centres (subject to Google's Privacy Policy). • Payment Processors: For processing Mitra incentive payments (subject to the processor's privacy policy).
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party services. We are not responsible for their data practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes:
